On November 6, 2008, the only known surviving chain of office from the time of King Henry VIII will be auctioned at Christie's in London. The chain is expected to bring at least UK£300,000. (photo)

This is the lord chief justice of the common pleas chain of office, from christie's auction website.

Why cant laurels wear gold chains in our area... dang ol knights get all the good stuff.

I'd argue that this is obviously not a knights chain, would they really object?
